(LEAWOOD, KS) – OnePoliticalVoice.com (OPV), a political market research firm, announced that Brent Doane has been named president. Mr. Doane, who most recently served as a political appointee to the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC, will direct the day-to-day operations of OPV as well as oversee the growth and development of OPV’s on-line polling and survey services unit.
“2008 promises to be a year of tremendous growth for OPV and in particular our polling and survey lines of business,” said OPV Chairman Jeff Smith. “We are extremely pleased to have someone of Brent’s political experience and business background to lead OPV team.”
Brent Doane said, “The political world is continuing to find new ways to embrace and utilize the potential offered by Internet based technologies. OPV is uniquely positioned with the talent and product offerings to meet the polling and research needs of any campaign or politically focused organization or association.”
As a political appointee, Brent Doane served as the Director of External Affairs with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency and as Executive Secretary to the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation. Along with an educational background focused in agriculture and law, Brent brings over 15 years of experience in communications, business development, management and political affairs.
A native of Kansas, Brent has served as campaign manager for a high profile congressional campaign, an advisor to numerous campaigns and owned and operated his own consulting business focused on providing political consultation and association management services. Prior to his campaign work, Brent was the vice president of business development for the Astra Group, a business consulting firm specializing in human resource and business process outsourcing. Additionally, Brent’s professional activities include experience as a contract lobbyist.
Mr. Doane earned his Juris Doctor from Washburn School of Law in addition to earning his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Iowa State University and Kansas State University respectively.
